Sempra Pipelines and Storage owns 100% of Ecogas Mexico S.R.L., a natural gas utility that in 1996, received the first license awarded to a private company to build a natural gas distribution system in Mexico. Currently, Ecogas Mexico S.R.L. serves about 100,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Northern Mexico with operations in the cities of Mexicali, Chihuahua, La Laguna (“Torreon- Gomez Palacio”), and Durango. Ecogas Mexico S.R.L. headquarters are located in the city of Chihuahua where it serves more than 51,000 customers.
