Sempra Pipelines & Storage plans to build a 70-mile pipeline
connecting area liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminals to the interstate pipeline system in Louisiana.
The first leg of the pipeline should have the capacity to transport
1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. With up to
seven interstate and one intrastate connections, the pipeline will
provide a flexible path to market for major volumes of LNG.
Construction on the Port Arthur Pipeline will begin once commercial arrangements have been finalized. Meanwhile, Sempra Pipelines & Storage is actively exploring an extension of the pipeline, based on market requests.
